Justin Jefferson has been ruled out for Week 4 with an ankle injury, and it is the single most impactful absence of the week for fantasy rosters. Jefferson is one of the two or three best wide receivers in the league when healthy, and losing him for a full game redistributes targets inside an offense that still needs to move the ball through the air.
The clearest beneficiaries are the players already sharing that passing game. T.J. Hockenson's projection has climbed because Jefferson's absence opens up a target share that would otherwise run through him, and the matchup for tight ends this week has been described as favorable on top of that. Jordan Addison is in a similar spot — he already produced a strong line in Week 3 when Jefferson left early, and a full game without Jefferson figures to push more volume his way. Neither player becomes Jefferson's equal, but both are moved up for Week 4 streaming and flex purposes specifically because of this one absence.
Eagles Receiving Corps Thins Out, Makai Lemon Gets a Look
Philadelphia enters Sunday down multiple receiving weapons. DeVonta Smith was ruled out after not practicing Friday, and Dallas Goedert was also ruled out after missing Friday practice, pulling two established pass-catchers out of the lineup in the same week. With Smith sidelined and Goedert out, Makai Lemon's role projects upward — Philadelphia's remaining receiving options are thinner than usual, and any snaps or targets that would have gone to Smith have to land somewhere. Fantasy managers rostering Smith or Goedert need direct replacements this week; managers looking for a speculative addition in deeper leagues can consider Lemon given the vacated role.
Bears Shuffle at Quarterback as Caleb Williams Sits
Caleb Williams has been ruled out for Week 4, and Tyson Bagent is expected to start in his place. Bagent becomes the quarterback to watch in this matchup purely because he is now the only game in town for Chicago's offense — any fantasy value from Chicago's skill players this week runs through however Bagent performs under center. It is a one-week change based on Williams's absence, not a long-term shift in the Bears' plans at the position.
Rams Get Puka Nacua Back
Puka Nacua returns to the lineup Sunday after missing two games with hip and groin injuries. He is back in the lineup and fantasy managers who sat him the past two weeks can plug him back in with it being a return-from-injury situation rather than a lingering limitation heading into the game.
Also in the Injury Report
Several other roles shifted ahead of Sunday. J.K. Dobbins was removed from the injury report and will play against the 49ers. Jadarian Price will miss Week 4 with a chest injury, opening up backfield touches for Emanuel Wilson and George Holani, while Zach Charbonnet is also ruled out with a knee issue, pushing managers toward other backfield options. Baker Mayfield was ruled out after not practicing Friday, with Jalon Daniels set to start in his place. Jayden Daniels is inactive for Washington, with Marcus Mariota starting again in his place. Terrance Ferguson was placed on injured reserve. Breece Hall is ruled out after missing practice all week. Mason Taylor is out with a thumb injury, while Chig Okonkwo returns from a hamstring issue after a limited practice week. Lamar Jackson returned to full practice and is expected to start despite a back injury, and Drake Maye practiced despite a shoulder issue, a positive sign for his availability.
- •Mike Evans is questionable, a game-time decision after missing two practice days before a limited Friday session
- •Nico Collins got a full practice Friday and is set to play with confidence
- •Terry McLaurin is questionable and worth monitoring before kickoff
- •Zay Flowers was downgraded to questionable after Friday's practice
- •Bucky Irving is off the injury report and expected to play
- •Brock Bowers was limited Friday but is expected to play, no longer on the report
- •D'Andre Swift returned to practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday
- •Chris Godwin is off the final injury report and set to play
- •Aaron Jones Sr. was not listed on the injury report and is set to play
- •Jonathan Taylor fully participated Friday and is not on the injury report
Sunday's practice-squad and inactive lists will confirm how several of these game-time decisions shake out, particularly Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, and Zay Flowers. The bigger question to track into next week is whether Jefferson's ankle keeps him out longer, which would sustain the added value for Hockenson and Addison beyond this single game.
