Fantasy Team Builder Challenge
8 spins. Land on a team. Pick your player. Get your grade.
Your Roster
0/8About the Fantasy Team Builder Challenge
How it works
You get eight spins. Each one lands on an NFL team, and you draft one player from that team into your roster. You do not choose the teams — that is the whole constraint, and it is what makes the game a game rather than a list of your favourite players.
When all eight slots are filled, the roster is scored on projected points per game and given a record and a grade. Because two people spinning the same eight teams will build very different rosters, the score is a read on your decisions rather than on your luck.
The skill it actually builds
Drafting under a constraint you did not pick is the single most transferable habit in fantasy football. In a real draft you never get the board you wanted: the run at your position starts early, the player you targeted goes two picks ahead of you, and you are choosing from what is actually there. Managers who plan around an ideal board freeze when it does not arrive.
The wheel forces the same decision repeatedly. Landing on a team with no obvious skill-position starter is not a bad spin — it is the ordinary situation, and the right response is to work out who on that roster has a real role rather than reaching for the most familiar name. Name recognition is the most expensive habit in fantasy football and this game punishes it quickly.
Reading your grade
The grade compares your projected points per game against what the same eight teams could have produced with optimal picks, so it measures your choices rather than the teams you drew. A weak draw with sharp picks grades better than a strong draw with lazy ones.
A weekly leaderboard runs alongside it, and the top score each week wins a prize. Scores are approved manually before a prize is issued.
